Tour Overview

- Difficulty: Moderate-Hard
The Druk Path Trek is one of Bhutan’s most popular short treks, offering an unforgettable blend of natural beauty and cultural encounters. Stretching between Paro and Thimphu, this four-day adventure passes through blue pine forests, high ridges, and pristine alpine lakes. Along the trail, trekkers come across centuries-old lhakhangs, ancient dzongs, and traditional villages that showcase Bhutan’s heritage.
With moderate distances between camps, the route is considered accessible for most hikers, yet still offers a taste of high-altitude trekking—reaching elevations of up to 4,200 meters. The journey highlights diverse landscapes, from fir and rhododendron forests to sparkling highland lakes. A major attraction is the serene Jimiling Lake, famed for its crystal waters and abundant trout.
The trek also rewards adventurers with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, including the mighty Mt. Gangkar Puensum—the world’s highest unclimbed mountain. Depending on the season, travelers may encounter yak herders in remote settlements, adding cultural depth to the journey.
