By Air

Bhutan is served by two national airlines—Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines—with flights to and from Paro International Airport. Paro is directly connected to major cities such as Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand), and several cities in India including Bagdogra, Guwahati, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

Due to Bhutan’s mountainous terrain, flight schedules are sometimes affected by weather conditions. We recommend keeping at least 24 hours of transit time between your international connection and Bhutan flights (both arrival and departure).

Both airlines operate multiple flights weekly, though frequencies vary by season. For the most up-to-date flight schedules and airfare details, please contact us at info@gumarexpeds.com

  • Samtse (Western Bhutan) – less frequently used but available as an official entry point.

Bhutan has regional airports in Bumthang, Gelephu, and Yonphula (East Bhutan) in addition to Paro. Please note that Yonphula Airport is subject to weather-related delays, particularly in summer.
